Ireena Vittal

 

Ireena Vittal is an independent director on the boards of some of India’s best known companies. After 24 years in the business sector, she works on issues related to Indias' urban agenda and agri-markets. Earlier, she was a Partner at McKinsey & Co, an internationally renowned consulting firm.

 

Ms. Vittal is an independent strategic advisor, with significant knowledge in agriculture and urban development in India and emerging markets. She co-authored several studies relating to agriculture and urbanization. She has been an Additional Independent Director of AXIS Bank Limited since November 3, 2012. She has been an Independent Director of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited since May 2013.

 

She has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Godrej Consumer Products Limited since April 30, 2013.

 

Ms. Vittal has also been an Independent Director of Titan Industries Limited since January 30, 2013. She has a B.Sc. in Electronics from Osmania University and a PGDM from IIM, Calcutta.
